Providers

Information for banks, credit unions, and mortgage companies

Short answerU.S. Mortgage Index publishes public-source profiles of institutions whose records it has compiled. A provider can review a profile and request a correction. Payment does not buy a ranking, a deletion, or a change to a factual public-source record.

How profiles are compiled

USMI organizes official and other public mortgage records into institution profiles for research and verification. Identity fields prefer stable official identifiers over a name-only match. Activity and complaint fields keep the scope and observation date of their source. Not every source applies to every institution.

What providers can review

  • The displayed name and institution type
  • Published official identifiers
  • Source dates and official URLs on the profile
  • Activity or complaint context USMI has published for that profile

Search published profiles

Requesting a correction

Use the corrections page. Name the institution, the field, and what the official source shows. An official source URL is the strongest evidence. USMI reviews the request against the appropriate official or public source. The public record is updated or left unchanged depending on that evidence.

USMI does not publish a response-time promise.

What payment does not change

USMI does not offer a paid provider profile on this site.

  • No paid ranking
  • No pay-to-delete of a true public-source fact
  • No paid change that makes one institution's factual record look superior
